49 South Korean companies will participate in the 26th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The event will take place from 1 to 3 October 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. ¡°The UAE and the Republic of South Korea share strong economic and investment ties. Last year, non-oil foreign trade between the two nations reached approximately USD 5.3 billion. The UAE was South Korea's second-largest trading partner in the Arab world and 14th globally in 2023, accounting for 20% of Korea¡¯s trade with Arab countries. South Korea¡¯s direct investments in the UAE are nearing USD 2.2 billion." said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, Founder and Chairman of WETEX.

In additon, "The substantial increase in Korean companies participating in WETEX this year underscores the event's significance as a leading global platform for showcasing cutting-edge technologies, innovative solutions, and best practices in the water, energy, and environment sectors. WETEX offers vast opportunities to enhance cooperation and explore new partnerships that contribute to our shared goals for sustainable development,¡± said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, Founder and Chairman of WETEX.

Al Tayer emphasised that WETEX is one of the most important global events for companies in the energy, water, and environment sectors. It provides an ideal platform to present advanced technologies and innovative solutions to an international audience of investors and decision-makers.

The exhibition also offers opportunities for networking and forming strategic partnerships that accelerate innovation and boost investment in vital sectors, supporting the transition towards a sustainable future. This makes WETEX a key destination for companies looking to expand and grow in new markets.
